Pamoja Afya Mashinani (PAM) Medical Camps

At EquiHealth Global, we believe that healthcare is a basic human right, not a privilege. The inception of the organization is rooted in our Pamoja Afya Mashinani (PAM) Medical Camps in Kenya. ‘Pamoja Afya Mashinani’, Swahili for ‘Health Together with the Grassroots’, perfectly captures our mission to deliver accessible, inclusive healthcare to underserved communities.

Our PAM Medical Camps were the first programs that led to the development of EquiHealth Global. These camps serve the dual purpose of providing immediate healthcare services and fostering long-term health literacy. We conduct these camps across various communities in Kenya, particularly focusing on those with significant geographical challenges and where entrepreneurs have little motivation to invest, leaving the communities under-resourced despite having large populations.

During the camps, our dedicated team of healthcare professionals and volunteers offer free healthcare screenings, consultations, and basic treatments. In addition to immediate care, we also provide educational sessions on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and hygiene, with the goal of empowering individuals and communities to take charge of their health.

To ensure the services reach the grassroots, we partner with different stakeholders, including local communities, healthcare providers, and non-governmental organizations. This collaborative approach enables us to adapt our strategies and services to each community’s specific needs and circumstances, rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model.

We are proud of the impact our PAM Medical Camps have had so far, and we are committed to expanding and enhancing these efforts. With every camp, we are one step closer to our vision of health equity for all.
